Our
Story
Get Talking Therapy is a family business. From the time Louise and Omer met in grad school, through marriage, children, and years spent building their own careers, Louise had always had far-off dreams of starting a private practice. After many, many (many) hours spent talking it over at the dinner table, Omer finally convinced her to give it a chance.
Blending Louise's passion for working with people and Omer's business know-how, Get Talking Therapy is about bringing people together. Our mission is to help people connect with their community and - however they communicate - to get talking.
Our Team
Louise Chamberlin, MS, CCC-SLP, ATP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Clinical Director
As a speech pathologist, I am passionate about helping people of all ages and backgrounds communicate more independently. With over a decade of experience in adult and pediatric healthcare settings, I've worked with many individuals to find ways to express themselves.
Since 2014, I have specialized in Assistive Technology (AT) and Augmentative-Alternative Communication (AAC). I provide speech therapy as part of a complete communication approach and most enjoy solving problems to connect AAC users to their communities. My favorite moments are finding a way for someone to finally participate in activities they weren't able to before - texting a friend, joining a class discussion, or telling a family member "I love you" for the first time.
